School is almost over!

School year is almost over. Here are some pics from the past few months. Maya got straight A's all year long and was inducted into Junior National Honor Society. She also got an award for being the best french horn player in her class. Gabby was in the Battle of the Books, chess club and Talent Day. Look how much they are growing up!

New York City and Washington DC

We had a lot of fun in NYC. We took a Ferry in from New Jersey. Didn't get alot of pics because there was quite a lot of rain on the way over. It cleared up and we had a lovely day. It rained alot in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. DC was quick. We went to the National Zoo(check out the pictures of the Pandas - they are sooo cute), and the National Archives. Then back to Texas and back to school. Maya is in 7th grade and Gabby is in 5th! They are getting so big.

Girls are back in Texas

The girls were in Michigan all summer, Matt and I picked them up, and then went on a car trip across the country. Here are some pics from Bushkill Falls, the Niagara of Pennsylvania.

Summer 2007

Jimmy, Jacki and Rocky setting out for our month long trip.

Left Florida on Sunday. Spent the night in Elijay, Georgia at a wonderful camp ground in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. We saw some groundhogs in the hill right above our camp, which had a pond below, total privacy from all other campers. We had the side of the hill and this entire valley like area all too ourselves. Gorgeous scenery and only $12 bucks to camp. Lots of stars and milky way.

Got up Monday morning and drove throught he Smokies. Saw the Appalacian trail, but there were no pets aloud so we couldn't really go down it with Rocky in tow.

Hanging out at my Aunt Mary's in Kentucky. We will be heading to Arkansas next week.

Will post more pics when I get them in the puter.

Its May Already.

Well, it is May and boy is it busy.

Gabby participated in her first Chess tournament. She did very well, considering she had really only been playing for a month at the time. She placed somewhere around 30th out of about 90. Gabby also got comended on all 3 parts of the TAKS, that means she almost got a perfect score on those stupid standarized tests that they stress us all out over all year long. Oh yeah, and Gabby made a basket in art class that has been selected to be in an art show for the entire school district. It is on display this week. Maya has her second band concert this week, she is doing very well on the French Horn. Middle school is keeping her busy and she is growing up so fast.

Matt, Maya and Gabby went to Martial Arts camp last weekend. Everyone is doing so well. (all the pics are from Gabby's Chess tournament). Less than a month until the girls get out of school. Maya will be in 7th grade and Gabby will be in 5th grade nextyear. They are getting soooo big.
Art Car parade is this weekend. Will have many pics. Can't wait to see all the cars!
Bye for now...

April 2007 So Far...

Now that tax season is officially over I actually have some time to take and post some pictures. We made it to the creek yesterday and it was sooo beautiful. Today is looking pretty good too. :)

They are growing up so fast. Both girls just got their purple belts in karate. Maya is going to have a band concert soon and Gabby is going to be in a chess tournament next week.
